Ingredients:
- 1 pack marshmallow mix from Foster Clark’s
- 150ml water
- ¼ tsp strawberry essence from Foster Clark’s
- ¼ tsp red food colouring from Foster Clark’s
- Corn flour from Foster Clark’s
- Oil
Preparation:
- 1. Start by greasing an aluminium tray with oil so nothing sticks.
- 2. Use a sieve, sprinkle a nice, even layer of corn flour on the tray, including sides.
- 3. Pour the marshmallow mix into a large mixing bowl and add 150ml of boiling water.
- 4. Stir the mixture with a spatula until everything is dissolved, then let it rest for 10min.
- 5. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer on high for 4min, or until the mix is fluffy and airy.
- 6. For a two-coloured marshmallow, pour half the mixture into an aluminium tray and spread out evenly.
- 7. Add any colours or flavours to the rest of the mix, then give it a good blend with an electric mixer.
- 8. Pour the coloured mixture on top and spread it out evenly with a spatula. And refrigerate for 4 hours to let it set.
- 9. Once set, remove from fridge and sprinkle some corn flour on a clean surface. Transfer the marshmallow mix onto the surface and cover with corn flour.
- 10. Slice into your preferred shapes and enjoy.
